References, performance, reliability

Hi

I want to use the Jackrabbit JCR for a CR in the company I'm working for. But my boss has some concerns about performance, reliability, scaling and security of the Jackrabbit implementation. Can anybody please tell me about his or her experiences? Or do you know some known sw products, where Jackrabbit is used?

http://wiki.apache.org/jackrabbit/JcrLinks lists a number of open
source and commercial applications built on Jackrabbit.
You'll find some serious products in there.
