svn+ssh in windows.

Can I use svn+ssh in wondows? If so how is it done?

I currently use putty and pagent (both kept on a removable disk) to connect to all my servers, and would like to carry this over into using subversion.

'Fraid not. I always first suspect name resolution issues when I
encounter unexplained delays.

What if the delay is about 3 seconds? I do experience this on my
computer. And I'm not using ssh/plink, I'm using https way. On my
Linux computer, which sits next to my Windows computer, the same
operation is performed immediately.

Any hints? :)

try

nslookup ipaddress

or

host ipaddress

I can, I get a command not found error though.

Your probably correct, and it is something I will look into, I notice the same problem logging on with putty. But as I'm the only one who uses this box, I can live with it for a while.

if the delay is around say, a minute or so. I would bet a dollar to a
donut that there is a name resolution problem. can you log on tot the
linux box with putty and do a

dig -x ipaddressofclientbox?

Well the server is the only linux box on a windows NT domain. The Domain controller runs the windows NT4 dns manager. The linux box has that as it's dns server. I'm connecting to the linux box by IP (as a server it's fixed).

I would assume yes, but could easily be wrong.

Depending on the sshd server configuration The authentication delay
may be caused by dns timeouts. Can the server do a reverse lookup on
the ip address of the client machine?

Ignore that, the last one works, it simply took a while to authenticate. Sorry

Thanks for the help.

Made sense as soon as I looked in the right part of the book.

It seems to just be hanging though, Do I need any other options username etc? I have tried both e:\plink.exe and e:\plink.exe -l anthony as the values of the key.

Before I look in the book :) do I change this on the server or the client machine?

putty comes with one more program called plink. If you change your
configuration (see http://svnbook.red-bean.com/svnbook/ch07.html#svn-ch-7-sect-1.2)
to add into key 'tunnels' a value called 'ssh', and the actual value
'plink', it should work for you.
