The management interface provides a way to redact, hide or delete an email.
However it's possible that the information that needs to be processed is in an attachment.
There ought to be a way to hide or delete these as well.
Note that attachments may be shared between emails

attachments can be deleted through the mgmt interface. If an attachment is deleted, it would disappear from all emails it appears in, but I think that is as it should be. For obvious reasons (I'd think) we can't edit attachments.

OK, I see now.
I agree it does not make sense to edit the content of attachments.
However there is still a minor issue: since attachments are shared, it may be necessary to update the attachment list for other emails as well.

There is another bug in the way attachment deletions are handled: if an attachment is deleted, the source email is not marked as hidden, so the contents are still available.
Looks like the code tries to re-use the edit function for updating the source, but fails to signal the attachment change properly.
