   Cherry-pick of #12886 (`a1ac1db41d`) to 10.1.x.
   
   10.1.x is the only branch missing it: master has it as `a1ac1db41d`, 10.2.x as
   `70bb098ff6`.
   
   Without it, `server_abort` fails on every 10.1.x PR. The test asserts that the
   Python microserver raises `UnicodeDecodeError` while processing the request:
   
   ```python
   server.Streams.stderr += Testers.ContainsExpression(
       "UnicodeDecodeError", "Verify that the server raises an exception when processing the request.")
   ```
   
   The CI image now runs a Fedora whose Python raises `IndexError: list index out of
   range` there instead, so the assertion never matches and the server exits 0 where
   the test expects it to have been killed. #12886 broadened the pattern to accept
   either, which is the fix this branch needs.
   
   Observed on #13467, where AuTest 2of4 failed four times on an unmodified commit
   while the other three shards passed. `server_abort` was the only failure of the
   110 tests in that shard.
   
   Cherry-picked whole rather than taking just that assertion, so 10.1.x converges
   with master and 10.2.x instead of carrying a third variant of the test. It applies
   with no conflicts and is test-only: it adds `tests/tools/mock_origin.py`, gates
   origin readiness in `post/post-early-return.test.py`, and removes the superseded
   `post/server1.sh`.
