There is only one failure case here. Although this fails eventually, the behavior is slightly different. I filed SPARK-46042.

@juliuszsompolski would you mind taking a look at https://github.com/apache/spark/pull/43942#issuecomment-1821896165 when you find some time?
TR;DR: A bit of context is that we should support Python 3.12, and to do that we need this upgrade. During the upgrade, one test failure was found .. but I think it needs your look. The JIRA is filed at SPARK-46042.
