I think that is a Java 9 class... I do not think that we want to depend on Java 9 yet. That and MR Jars break all sorts of tools.

To solve this problem, Commons Lang must be release at least every six months and we have re-release all affected components. Since this does not scale, I would recommend to deprecate this enum in favor of {{java.lang.Runtime.Version}} or have a better non-enum approach to it.
