Hive on Spark release date

Hi Team,

We made build for Hive on Spark from the package available @ https://github.com/apache/hive/tree/spark and it is working fine. Thanks for this excellent feature! I am interested to know the expected release date for this feature.

We see the target build is showing "apache-hive-0.14.0", so am I right in assuming from hive 0.14, hive will support "Spark" as an execution engine

Hi Prabu,

Thanks for trying it out and your interest. The release date is not set
yet, but I'm pretty sure it's not going to be in hive-0.14. The earliest
release would be 0.15, but again this is rather a rough estimate.
