adding a tar.gz into a CVS

Hello,

A user has asked me to add a guide.tar.gz for easy downloading for the
later offline browsing, to the guide. I've no problem with that.

The only thing I'm concerned about is the huge emails that will be send on
commit to the cvs list: the diff from tar.gz which is a doubled tar.gz
plus the text diff. The question is whether it's OK with the list policy.
