Error when trying slingbucks example

I just tried the slinbucks example and get that error when trying to
order a cup of coffee.
The only difference to the REAME is that I started sling from
launchpad/builder as the launchpad/testing doesn't seem to have
jetty:run target configured.

BTW, once in production, how can this error message be presented in a
more friendly way to the user?
