[I] 4.0 Monitor - Data Tables [accumulo]
dlmarion opened a new issue, #6546:
URL: https://github.com/apache/accumulo/issues/6546
Does DataTables provide a button to reset the stored column ordering or column selection? I'm assuming this just deletes the stored browser state for the table. If not provided, can we create one?
For tables that are wider than the display, can we add a horizontal scroll bar for each individual table?

From my understanding, column selection includes column visibility, order, and search filters, which would also have to be cleared through a custom button, but I think the custom button in the discussion resets stored column order AND selection (visibility?) so it could be done that way.
For the second part of this question, which tables are wider than the display so I can take a look? or is it data dependent?

Yeah, is there something for resetting the column selection as well? The selector is the gear icon, the user can select which columns to show or hide. Reset should put it back to the default state, which for now is showing all columns.

I think we could create a custom button in DataTables Buttons that would reset the stored column orders using `colReorder.reset()`, is that what you meant?
Here is a related discussion I found https://datatables.net/forums/discussion/33963/reset-column-visibility-and-reorder-on-a-single-button

IIRC the ScanServer table is really wide, but I don't think it matters because you should be able to re-order and select columns on most tables. It would be nice if we could implement re-order and selection on all tables, but I don't know if that's in place right now.
