Hello Commiters,

Was this [patch] ill-formed?

Sincerely,

Hello, Mark.

Thank you for giving attention to.

Yes, yes. I know this.

Although we (jakarta-commiters) encourage the developers to use [PATCH]
prefixed mails or BUGZZILA (see http://jakarta.apache.org/site/bugs.html),
former ones tend to be forgotten in some projects in jakarta.

This might be a critical problem in jakarta-world, maybe.

These sorts of "differences" might cause the confusions for the
new comers into jakarta-world and those cross-subscribing developers.
(As for me, I prefer to use the mail with [PATCH] prefixed subject with
patches because I do not use browsers so often)

Some Mail Client can solve this problem, figuring out the
[PATCH] prefixed mail easily. However, I can not recommend
all the commiters to use these kind of mail clients...
(As for me, my favorite mail client, Becky!, is great enough to
be able to automatically append colored-label to the mails
which have "[PATCH]" prefixed subject.)

Each projects has different way, ... yes that's right.
However, if so, we can not encourage the developers to see the
http://jakarta.apache.org/site/bugs.html
page... --- Uhmmmmm... difficult issue...

(I'll think about this more and more, and
I will talk at general@jakarta ,infrastructure@ or somewhere
if a good idea hit me. Maybe, "X-Priorities" header might solve
this problem...)

Again, thanks a lot and please apply the patches >> Mark

Sincerely,

-- Tetsuya (tetsuya@apache.org)

Tetsuya,

Thanks for the patches. From my experience, if patch is not attached to a
Bugzilla issue, it tends to be forgotten. I will try to locate and apply
your patches.
