I am trying to verify RC2 and it turned out that it isn't easy to find any
dev instructions on the website. E.g. it has a lot of detailed docs around how
to install, use, configure, etc. the project, but how to develop it? How one
can run tests?
That's be super useful, IMO!

I think it might be a good time to create a more obvious version of "How to
Contribute" webpage?

to check out the GIT repository and build the project (you should just be
able to import the POM file under root into your IDE). After installing the
project, you should play with examples and try to understand main APIs.
