[DISCUSS] Change on Apache Kylin logo
Hello, Kylin community,
We invited an experienced visual designer to revise Apache Kylin logo;
The reason that we're going to update the logo includes:
1） The original version is not standardized and the lines are not smooth
enough；
原始版本绘制不规范，线条不够流畅
2） The Logo Center has too much white space lacks a visual center, and the
overall lacks momentum. It is not good for printing.
Logo 中心留白过多，缺少视觉中心，整体缺少气势。
The Attached figure shows the difference. The difference is minor from a
non-professional. But I agree that the new version is more "compact" and
"stronger".
I raise the discussion to get your inputs; If no objection we will use the
new version to replace the old one. Please express your comments freely.

Thanks very much for your feedback: Billy, Julian, and Neethu;
As there is no objection about this change, I would say this change has got
a consensus in the Apache Kylin community. We will use the new Logo from
now on.

Thanks for Julian's feedback! Yes, we can add "TM" to the logo, just like
Apache Spark's logo.
For "powered by Apache Kylin", this is a good idea. I will talk with our
designer and propose a candidate to the community.
For other people, please go ahead. This discussion will be open till this
weekend (9/16).

I think the new logo is an improvement, and we should adopt it.
There were some questions in another thread about what is the approval
process to change logo. I don't believe that a formal vote is needed.
Just achieve consensus on the dev list. (You can have a vote if you
really want!)
The policy[1] says that a project's official logo must include a "TM"
(trademark) symbol. If we're changing logos, let's add that.
While we're doing graphic design, should we also create a "powered by
Apache Kylin" logo? [2]
