Log4PHP > Git

Hello Infra-Team,

I have lost the discussion after it has been said that some projects
are able to move to Git as part of the Git@Apache experiment. In
log4php world we have discussed to move to git recently. Some users
have stopped contributing because we are not on git, and before short
we have received a pull request on Github (via the mirror).

Now I have two questions:

1) How can we proceed with the Github pull request? Is it ok to just
include it or can't we accept github pull requests because of for
example legal reasons?

2) Is there a chance, that log4php (as a subproject of logging) with 3
committers joining the git experiment? We are all no hardcore users of
git, but I have seen some docs. If that is sufficient and you are
accepting new projects, we would like to join.

Cheers
Christian

I don't have the time or knowledge at this moment to volunteer. Perhaps we
will wait for a better tomorrow. Either find someone from outside of
logging to help, or wait for GA. I'm just sad that we're losing potential
contributions from Vladimir because of this.

Ivan

Fellows,

[dropped other email recipients]

does one of us have the time / competence to help with these issues?
I looked at it, but must say this is not for me. I can report and
document, but I am not a hardcore user of git.
Anybody else feels the urgent need to do it?

If no, i will tell ppl we are waiting for GA.
Cheers
Christian
