What is it supposed to be when you combined Tomcat and Apache?

Hi, wes!

I tried to change the port number to 8081. So I have
to add ":8081" if I want to access Tomcat. Is this the
way you access your Tomcat from Apache.

Remember when you do nothing to combine Tomcat and
Apache, you just run both Tomcat and Apache
separately, you access Tomcat by adding ":8081", then
why do you believe now Tomcat and Apache is
communcating?

If you do not have to add ":8081" to access your
Tomcat, then I believe your Apache is taking care of
Tomcat. Is that right?
