Threading in TimeAndSizeRollingAppender

Hi,

First of all, it's fantastic to see Log4J 2.0 progressing through the beta releases.

Many applications remain tied to Log4J 1.2, at least for the time being.  With that in mind I've updated the TimeAndSizeRollingAppender, available since 2007, which provides a couple of useful features in common with the Log4J 2.0 distribution that are not in the Log4J 1.2 distributions.  The most recent update specifically reduces the number of daemon threads used by the TimeAndSizeRollingAppender.  Check for details on my blog at simonsiteblog.blogspot.co.uk.  Test results, downloads, and more are on my website at www.simonsite.org.uk.

Best Regards,

Simon
