Public website, and its automatic generation, would be better with the following improvements:
- current book should not have to be manually copied in, AND should not be in github.  
-- Preferably it would be copied from site-book/target/site to site/target/current-book at build time, altho there are other ways and times it could be done.  
-- If necessary to not go directly into site/target, it could go to site/generated/current-book.  
- The "current release" number used multiple places in site/documentation/index.md should be a parameter, substituted in at build time.
-- Preferably it would be derived from mvn build version, but would be ok to be manually adjusted in one place instead of several.
