[ACS44] query: do we need/want a 4.4.3

H,

given the vote for 4.3.2 that is out and the fact that it contains
ixes that are not in 4.4.2 but will be in 4.5, Do we feel we should
work on a 4.4.3 fix-release?

greatfuly awaiting all and any comments and thoughts,

Until we have 4.5 out, I think it's fair to keep up with bugfix releases
for the current and previously released versions. I know we discussed the
support cycle at one point, but I don't have it handy right now.

Besides, there seems to be a lot of interest in 4.3 at the moment, and
investment in its stability.

+1 I'm sure a lot of users may be comfortable in upgrading to a minor
release than a major release.

I've already backported most of the fixes that I did for 4.3 to 4.4
branch and have updated the CHANGES file here;

https://git-wip-us.apache.org/repos/asf?p=cloudstack.git;a=blob;f=CHANGES.md;hb=4.4

Last time I checked using git "ours" merge strategy, 4.3 cleanly merges
into 4.4 branch but probably not a right way to do merges.

exactly, I did't feel like it at all but this is kind of my reasoning as well.

Hi Daan,

To keep it short: +1

Increasing our release cadence will force us to solve our development processes and infra issues.
