Oak 1.0.8 release

Hi,

I'm planning on releasing Oak 1.0.8 tomorrow afternoon CET.
There are a lot of unresolved issues [0], so please start wrapping up or
move them to the next release.

Due to unforeseen circumstances I'll be pushing the release to next week.
