Make sure these boxes are checked before submitting your issue - thank you!

   - [x] I have checked the superset logs for python stacktraces and included it here as text if any
   - [x] I have reproduced the issue with at least the latest released version of superset
   - [x] I have checked the issue tracker for the same issue and I haven't found one similar

   ### Superset version
   0.26.3

   ### Expected results
It would be great to be able to set the format of a metric in the metric creation tool (i.e. the modal window that opens when you use for e.g. the AGG AVG option).

   ### Actual results
At the moment you can only set the variable to be used and the aggregate type. Adding a D3 format option would help a lot as at the moment in build 0.26.3 I haven't found a way to alter the format of a metric that was created with the tool.

   ### Steps to reproduce
