[jira] [Created] (QPID-3370) Grammar for qpid-config and qpid-route are inconsistent.

Grammar for qpid-config and qpid-route are inconsistent.
---------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: QPID-3370
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/QPID-3370
             Project: Qpid
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: Tools
    Affects Versions: 0.10
            Reporter: William Henry

The grammar for these two useful tools is inconsistent. Ti would be better if they were more consistent.

qpid-route <object> <verb> etc.
qpid-tool <verb> <object> etc.

I kinda prefer qpid-tool's grammar.

[jira] [Updated] (QPID-3370) Grammar for qpid-config and qpid-route are inconsistent.

William Henry updated QPID-3370:
--------------------------------

    Affects Version/s: (was: 0.10)
                       0.11

Of course this is going to effect existing users of the changed tool and so should not be considered lightly. Probably changing qpid-route would have the minimum impact on existing scripts etc.
