Regarding how to add custom font in the editor

assuming, that you mean NetBeans IDE, then open the options window:

Tools -> Options

and go to

Fonts & Colors

Choose category "Default" and change the fond. Done.

If you need this for a platform application, look which attribute is
changed by this and brand that.
