It would be helpful to prominently display election end dates (especially with appropriate time zones) in each election-related page.  Even if the vote creator plans to manually "turn off" voting, it would be helpful as a feature to have an advisory "This election will close at time/date X" value. 

Having this data on the actual election/vote webpages would ensure voters are more aware of deadlines (since some people may leave their browser open for a while, and never refer back to any original emails that described this).
