I agree with the bit on not allowing access to objects without privileges. Wondering if the current proposal is too restrictive i.e., should we allow access to default to everyone, irrespective of privileges? Thoughts?

I think we should either allow access to default to the world or guard it with privileges. I think implicitly allowing access can be problematic.
