ECS License
What is the license behind ECS? GPL? BSD?
Thanks,
David

Great, that's what I gathered from the license and we're more than happy
to do that, especially considering that the main components of our app
are Tomcat, Apache SOAP and ECS and for version 2 will likely move to
Velocity. We're very much indebted to the work of everyone at
Apache.org.
Thank you for all your hard work!

Of course they do and yes, I personally think the GPL is evil.
Just make sure that your company gives us (the ASF) the proper credit as
outlined in the license.

Well, I wasn't joking, actually, but I was sure hoping it wasn't the
GPL. From your response it sounds like you're not a fan of it either. I
didn't know if all apache.org products had the same license or not.
Thanks for the response. This will be good news for our legal folks.
