Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: AXIS-1477
    Summary: JavaServiceDesc ignores stop classes
       Type: Bug

     Status: Unassigned
   Priority: Critical

    Project: Axis
 Components:
             WSDL processing
   Versions:
             current (nightly)

   Assignee:
   Reporter: Ravi Kumar

    Created: Fri, 23 Jul 2004 3:31 PM
    Updated: Fri, 23 Jul 2004 3:31 PM

Description:
Line 765:
    private Method[] getMethods(Class implClass) {
        if (implClass.isInterface()){
            // Returns all methods incl inherited
            return implClass.getMethods();
        } else {
            return implClass.getDeclaredMethods();
        }
    }

does not account whether inheritance is enabled or not and the implementation in any case should be no different between a class and an interface.

I filed another bug for missing inheritance implementation.

In addition this does not honor stop classes. For instance, Java2Wsdl on a Session Bean will include lifecycle methods in EjbObject
