Impress animations and transitions used to be able to export to SWF in the past. 

After some upgrades, OpenOffice broke the binding. 

A new proposal is to re-bind the animation and transitions to a native HTML5 canvas layer.

The student is expected to know C++ enough to read the source as well as bind it to Javascript and other possible libraries that are compliant with the license.
