Re: [DISCUSS] Syncope 1.2.0M1 (WAS Re: Work for next major release 1.2.0)

HI all,
I am resurrecting this old thread because almost all issues for 1.2.0
have been resolved

https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SYNCOPE/fixforversion/12322505/?selectedTab=com.atlassian.jira.jira-projects-plugin:version-issues-panel

I am proposing to enter in a "feature-freeze" phase for 1.2.0-SNAPSHOT
and, as soon as all issues above are fixed, to release 1.2.0-M1 (we will
actually need to wait for CXF 3.0.1, before).

In the meanwhile, we will need to perform a whole set of pre-release tasks:

1. check/update LICENSE and NOTICE
2. write release notes
3. outline an upgrade procedure

WDYT?

From the other side, we are currently using LOG4J 2.0-rc2 and CXF
3.0.1-SNAPSHOT

Hi all,
having received a whole positive feedback, I am going to create a new
1_2_X branch from trunk.
