Continuum 1.1 alpha 1

Well, its finally happened...continuum has had an alpha release to show off
some of the work that has been done over the last year.

you can obtain the latest release at the following location.

http://people.apache.org/builds/maven/continuum/1.1-alpha-1/org/apache/maven/continuum/continuum-plexus-runtime/1.1-alpha-1/continuum-plexus-runtime-1.1-alpha-1-bin.tar.gz

war file is -> http://people.apache.org/builds/maven/continuum/1.1-alpha-1/org/apache/maven/continuum/continuum-webapp/1.1-alpha-1/continuum-webapp-1.1-alpha-1.war

This is the first of the alpha series of continuum, and the plan is to
try and get an few alpha's out before we release. There are more
issues then I care to think about resolved in this release as well as
a number of fun improvements. I am hoping we get some momentum from
this and and power through a number of the remaining issues in the
jira.

If you come a bug or feature request your more then welcome to open
the issue in jira at http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/CONTINUUM. If
you do open an issue, please try and include as much information as
possible, if we can't replicate, we can't fix.

Patches are welcome and your best response will be garnered from
hopping on irc and talking to us about it. irc.codehaus.org
#continuum

One of the things that we need to get spruced up before release is
documentation, and if you wish to contribute some, we have a wiki
setup for continuum users.

http://docs.codehaus.org/display/CONTINUUMUSER

thanks much!

Is it a bug ?

Posted by Charles Paulet <pa...@yahoo-inc.com>.
Hi,

Is this problem a normal behaviour ?

1 - The root user create a new user (projectleader) with a password ans
sets privileges.
2 - The root user logs out.
3 - The projectleader logs in, AND checks the "remember me" checkbox.
4 - Continuum asks to change the projectleader password

Here if you don't delete the cookie, you can't exit the
security/password.action page.
- Logout doesn't work
- Restart Continuum doesn't work
- Click menu item doesn't work

Ok, that teaches me for not reading the manual ;)

Maybe the documentation url should be included in the next alpha build
announcement. Even if it's not completely finished...

I've just installed and added a shell project and everything looks nice so

Hi,

Nice to see that 1.1 alpha finally has arrived. Will do some testing
during the next few days.

Found one irritating thing right away during install. When creating the
admin account I was limited to 8 characters passwords?!

"You must provide a password between 1 and 8 characters in length."

Way limit it to 8 characters? At least make it double (16 characters) or
even more. I know companies how enforce 15 characters passwords (yes I
know impossible to remember ;))

Well, its finally happened...continuum has had an alpha release to show off
some of the work that has been done over the last year.

you can obtain the latest release at the following location.

http://people.apache.org/builds/maven/continuum/1.1-alpha-1/org/apache/maven/continuum/continuum-plexus-runtime/1.1-alpha-1/continuum-plexus-runtime-1.1-alpha-1-bin.tar.gz

war file is -> http://people.apache.org/builds/maven/continuum/1.1-alpha-1/org/apache/maven/continuum/continuum-webapp/1.1-alpha-1/continuum-webapp-1.1-alpha-1.war

One of the things that we need to get spruced up before release is
documentation, and if you wish to contribute some, we have a wiki
setup for continuum users.
