Problem regarding deploying of velocity

Hi
 I am having problems deploying the velocity. I went in to the build 
directory and typed "ant" which gave me a whole load of compilation 
problems. I am running the program in Windows.
 1. May I know where the compiler error output file is located?
2. Could it be a classpath problem? what should i do here? Btw, I have 
already set my classpath to c:\velocity\bin\velocity-dep-1.4.
