See other posting and do:

whereis spamd
rm /usr/sbin/spamd
ln -s /usr/bin/spamd /usr/sbin/spamd

For SuSE:
correct in /usr/sbin/rcspamd: SPAMD_BIN
edit /etc/sysconfig/spamd: remove --auto-whitelist
