[jira] [Commented] (SOLR-6072) The 'deletereplica' API should remove the data and instance directory default

Craig MacGregor commented on SOLR-6072:
---------------------------------------

This definitely broke backwards compatibility for my limited use case... I was using DELETEREPLICA as a way to keep a backup copy of a recent core, following creation of a new core in the collection, but now it deletes it... there's no UNLOADREPLICA or "unloadOnly" param do the same thing, which is the behavior I was expecting :(

> The 'deletereplica' collection API should clean up the data and instance directory automatically. Not doing that is a bug even if it's a back-compat break because if we don't do that then there is no way to free up the disk space except manual intervention.
