[jira] [Created] (OAK-12466) Oak-run indexing can miss entries with mongoParallelDump enabled
Thomas Mueller created OAK-12466:
------------------------------------
Summary: Oak-run indexing can miss entries with mongoParallelDump enabled
Key: OAK-12466
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OAK-12466
Project: Jackrabbit Oak
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: indexing
Reporter: Thomas Mueller
Assignee: Thomas Mueller
Parallel downloading stops when the ascending and descending streams cross, but one stream may still hold downloaded documents in an unflushed buffer.
Indexing can proceed without waiting for that buffer to be delivered, which can result in incomplete indexes.
Very narrow includedPaths (restrictive MongoDB path) filtering makes this scenario more likely, because it can have long gaps between returned batches.
