[jira] [Created] (ZEPPELIN-2974) Dynamic updates of zeppelin tables/widgets

Justin Long created ZEPPELIN-2974:
-------------------------------------

Summary: Dynamic updates of zeppelin tables/widgets
                 Key: ZEPPELIN-2974
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ZEPPELIN-2974
             Project: Zeppelin
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: GUI, Interpreters
    Affects Versions: 0.7.3
Environment: Using Apache Zeppelin on Ubuntu 16, installed binary from source.
            Reporter: Justin Long
            Priority: Minor
             Fix For: 0.8.0, 0.7.4

Is it possible to dynamically update tables created with the spark interpreter? If not, can we improve this feature?

The use case is that we are training a neural network in Deeplearning4j on Zeppelin. We want to redirect the output so that instead of logging the score or outputting it to the cell, the score is displayed within a live chart.

The result would be something like this GIF: https://media.giphy.com/media/G9sOw6W6yRnyM/giphy.gif
