compile error subversion 1.4.6

Dear people,

I get a compile error:

APR_MD5_DIGESTSIZE undeclared in file mod_dav_svn/liveprops.c.

It seems to be correctly declared though:

directory apr-util/include/ has file apr_md5.h
this file declares APR_MD5_DIGESTSIZE 16
makefile has -I/home/..../subversion-1.4.6/apr-utils/include
configure sais: APR version 0.9.17
configure sais: apr-util version 0.9.15
gcc 2.95

This is all I can think of. I hope you can give me a clue
