pig-launcher.jar does not exist error
I'm trying to run a pig action and I get the following error:
JA008: File
/var/tmp/oozie/oozie-oozi2333027184491809842.dir/pig-launcher.jar does not
exist.
What might be the problem?

My issue was resolved after restarting the oozie services. Thanks everyone

I ran into this problem once.
I think it is a bad idea to have the oozie runtime directory in /var/tmp. The tmpreaper can delete files that have not been accessed for awhile. Restarting oozie was a temparory fix. The launcher is regenerated when you restart.

I think this is not the root cause of your failure. Please check the launcher mapper log to find the actual reason of job failure.
However, oozie had issue with this previously when the actual pig script fails. I don't hear any noise lately.
Can you pls share your finding by checking the launcher log? Our QE could verify if it was indeed resolved in the latest releases.

Yes. I see the error when I try to run a pig action using oozie.
I'm using oozie 2.3.2-cdh3u2 (cloudera).
I see the error due to the action failing, in the oozie console.

Yes. I see the error when I try to run a pig action using oozie.
I'm using oozie 2.3.2-cdh3u2 (cloudera).
I see the error due to the action failing, in the oozie console.

This jar is oozie's own packaged jar for pig job. Do you see the error consistently? Which oozie version are you using?
where do you see the error? We used to see this error long time back.
