[jira] Created: (TOMAHAWK-533) Add a converter to saveState

Add a converter to saveState
----------------------------

         Key: TOMAHAWK-533
         URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TOMAHAWK-533
     Project: MyFaces Tomahawk
        Type: Improvement

  Components: UISaveState
    Reporter: Mike Youngstrom

SaveState's simple and very useful functionality has been relatively unchanged since it's creation until now. :)

I was thinking it might be a good idea to be able to apply converters to saveStated values. This would allow the values saved in state to be translated the same way values are serialized in the view between requests. I think being able to apply a converter to a saveStated value would be a nice value add that sits between the current functionaltiy of saving a primative type and serializing an entire object and placing it in the state.

What do you think?

Mike

Sure when I get some time. Until then feel free to lower the priority and I'll get around to it one of these days.

Yeah. As long as its optional, why not.

Fancy providing a patch?

Martin
