[jira] [Created] (AMBARI-3002) Add git hash to the rpm build - a file which has the latest git hash in it.

Dmytro Shkvyra created AMBARI-3002:
--------------------------------------

Summary: Add git hash to the rpm build - a file which has the latest git hash in it.
                 Key: AMBARI-3002
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AMBARI-3002
             Project: Ambari
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: agent, controller
    Affects Versions: 1.4.0
            Reporter: Dmytro Shkvyra
             Fix For: 1.4.1

This is becoming quite important. We need a verision file that is built during rpm build and has the latest git hash. This allows for debugging a build which you can confirm what hash it was built from and also can confirm builds during release process.

It would also be nice to provide a command:

ambari-server --version

ambari-server --hash

the --hash command provides the git hash it was built from.

As a first step just a file with hash is fine.
