[jira] [Commented] (NIFI-1532) TailFile Reset option

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NIFI-1532?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15152620#comment-15152620 ]

Joseph Witt commented on NIFI-1532:
-----------------------------------

Hello

In the apache nifi 0.5.0 release tail file was updated to use the new state management feature. With this feature processors which maintain state, such as this, can be stopped and then you can clear the state. This has the effect of clearing it as you request. So will go ahead and close this out. If you find that it isn't working just let us know.

Thanks
Joe

> I'd like some sort of option to reset a tailfile so that it operates as if it had just started reading from the desired file.
