STR:
1. Install cluster.
2. Go to Manage Ambari > Versions > Register Version.
3. Click Add Version for HDP-2.5, type URL for some version (for example http://s3.amazonaws.com/dev.hortonworks.com/HDP/centos6/2.x/BUILDS/2.5.0.0-427/HDP-2.5.0.0-427.xml) and click Add Version Info.

As a result version from VDF file will be loaded as selected, but if you open select box you will see current installed version and HDP-2.5 (Default Version Definition) instead of version, that you typed. If you will add version with the same VDF file, it will be added. But what is HDP-2.5 (Default Version Definition) and why it appears in combo box after first version adding.
