problem reading xls files created by Perl module Spreadsheet::WriteExcel

Hello,

I had problem reading xls files created via Perl module Spreadsheet::WriteExcel
(v2.17, released May 21, 2006).

Excel sample is available at

Java src sample to parse the excel file:

When I ran the java program, it shows nothing ( no error, no stack
trace, no cell content). I wonder if someone could try reproducing
this issue and see if we could get some useful debug info for dev-team
to investigate. Thank you.
