ViewVC URL's with a leading "r" in revnums should be supported, as in the past, such URL's were used, e.g.:

  http://svn.apache.org/viewvc?view=revision&revision=r1686988

Such a URL now gives an "Invalid revision" error / 404 Not Found, so that lots of past links with this leading "r" are now broken. According to a mail to infrastructure@, it is sufficient to upgrade to ViewVC ≥1.1.12 or to apply the one-liner patch http://viewvc.tigris.org/source/browse/viewvc/branches/1.1.x/lib/vclib/svn/svn_repos.py?r1=2585&r2=2584&pathrev=2585&diff_format=u
