Flume rsyslog source

Hi Folks,

Are there any remote syslog source(rsyslog) for Flume?

I understand Cloudera has it (per reference below) but Open Source binary and/or Hortontworks doesn't have it,

Can any of you guys confirm this?

4.2. Delivering Syslog events via sockets<http://archive.cloudera.com/cdh/unstable/flume/Cookbook/index.html#_delivering_syslog_events_via_sockets>
4.2.1. Configuring syslogd<http://archive.cloudera.com/cdh/unstable/flume/Cookbook/index.html#_configuring_literal_syslogd_literal>
4.2.2. Configuring rsyslog<http://archive.cloudera.com/cdh/unstable/flume/Cookbook/index.html#_configuring_literal_rsyslog_literal>
4.2.3. Configuring syslog-ng<http://archive.cloudera.com/cdh/unstable/flume/Cookbook/index.html#_configuring_literal_syslog_ng_literal>

Re: Flume rsyslog source

Posted by Hari Shreedharan <hs...@cloudera.com>.
The one you are looking at is flume-og, not the current Flume. There are
syslog sources in Flume - the multiport syslog tcp source and syslog udp
source - both in the open source codebase.

Thanks,
Hari
