patterns in XML

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a standard way of expressing procedural constraints on XML
streams. Specifically, I need an XML grammar to express relationships and
element patterns (for example, a way of validating that an input stream is
generically tabular).

I've made a start on my own grammar, but I want to know if anyone has done
this already, before spending more time on the problem.
