workspace
If I have a workspace with svn/tortoise 1.2 and upgrade to 1.4, what
should I do to make my workspace compatible with the new
tortoise/svn????

You can't commit if your working copy is out of date, so you're
probably going to do an update before the commit anyway. But
regardless, yes, you can commit from an older working copy with a
newer client in the way you're asking.

Nothing. The first time you update from the repository, your working
copoy will be silently upgraded. It already is "compatible" with the
newer versions.
