Oozie 2.3.2 - What is the impact if Instrumentation service is disabled?

Hi All,

Just curious to know what is the impact if I disable Instrumentation
service in Oozie?

I understand I might not get metrics / oozie counters besides this is their
any impact.

Reason for asking this is, I am assuming with lot of records in WF_JOBS,
COORD_ACTIONS etc tables, the aggregate queries related to Instrumentation
Service might execute slowly and impact other Oozie mysql queries.

Any suggestions on this?

Thanks,

Posted by Alejandro Abdelnur <tu...@cloudera.com>.
we never seen perf issues because instrumentation service.

said this, the safest way to disable instrumentation would be having a nop subclass and using that instead

thx
