error using mirae

Hi all,

I download MIRAE snapshot from http://people.apache.org/~ias/mirae/ .

when I tried to user the wsdltojavame tool to generate stub code (java
org.apache.mirae.ws.wsdl.tojava.wsdl2javame service.wsdl) there are
only two file has been generated: one is the web service interface
class: service.java and the other one is Service_Stub.java, is this
right?

Also, when I tried to build my app (I put all the jars under
runtime/tools in my lib), following errors occurred:

Building "wsclient"

Error preverifying class org.apache.axis.Part

    java/lang/NoClassDefFoundError: java/io/Serializable

Build failed

Project settings saved

When building obfuscated package:

Building "wsclient"

Error preverifying class org.apache.axis.Part

    java/lang/NoClassDefFoundError: java/io/Serializable

Build failed

com.sun.kvem.midletsuite.InvalidJadException: Reason = 31

The jar size value in the Application Descriptor does not match the real
jar file size.

Another question,

For Sun's jsr172 reference implementation, people say it's not possible
to use it in a phone that doesn't support jsr172, is this the same case
with MIRAE?

Actually I am quite confuse about this, like I can use BouncyCastle in
any phone as long as I include the necessary lib in the midlet app, so
why can't I use JSR172 RI if I include the jar file in my app?

Thanks a lot!

BS

Jason

Hi,

I also saw that some people says about jsr172 that it’s not possible to use it in a phone that doesn’t support jsr172. I have tested mirae with some phones and found that it works well with most of the phones. It may fail with some phones with older version of MIDP. So it is related to MIDP virsion of the phone, not jsr172 support.

I think java/io/Serializable is not in the J2ME. check the build path and jar files.
