The persistent cache has an option {{autoCompact}} which is related to {{compact}}. The former compacts the cache in a background thread, while the latter controls whether it should be done on close. OAK-2815 set the default for {{compact}} to disabled. Similarly, the default for {{autoCompact}} should also be disabled, unless a user wants to use the feature.
