[jira] Commented: (HADOOP-1373) checkPath() throws IllegalArgumentException

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-1373?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=12585032#action_12585032 ]

Edward J. Yoon commented on HADOOP-1373:
----------------------------------------

I think HOSTNAME should be changed from upper to lower case as describe below.

{code}
    if (thisScheme.equals(thatScheme)) {          // schemes match
      if(thisAuthority != null && thatAuthority != null) {
        thisAuthority = thisAuthority.toLowerCase();
        thatAuthority = thatAuthority.toLowerCase();
      }
    ...
{code}

Is it create any problems?

> I am running TestDFSIO on a two node cluster. Here is the exception I get

> But that was acceptable before and should stay that way in the future afaiu.
