questions from a new user

I'm new to Xindice. There are a couple of questions came to mind.
1.	Can I retrieve a document over HTTP? Obviously it's got HTTP
servers of some kind.
2.	Is there any security? I saw some references to it, but not
found anything in documentation.

Thanks,
Michael

We used to have the functionality but removed it because we wanted only
one entry point into the system to start with. On some levels this was a
mistake and we'll bring it back eventually. The Xindice architecture is
really modular though and the code to add this would be really easy if you'
re interested in it.

None that works, there's a partial implementation in the source and
several people have been looking into finishing it off, but so far not
much has been done.
